These party vibes were my dreams come true. A little summer meets fall, yummy picnic food, florals, and all of our people. You know the term it takes a village? Yes, it really does. Our village gathered last night to celebrate the first year of June's life. Not just celebrating her turning a year old, but celebrating all of the days in between. This village took my baby when I just needed a minute. They kept her entertained so I could take a shower. They brought meals, sent texts, and were simply just there. What a humbling thing to see people surround you and love your family. My village also helped me make this day possible. Thank you to my sisters and best friends for saving me, catching my vision, and filling in all of the gaps! A village is one who comes in without asking what you need. They see needs that need to be met and they meet them. My people-- thank you. We wouldn't trade you for the world.
June woke up this morning with a few of those big balloons in the corner of her room, recovering from her sugar crash. Those big rose gold balloons were the perfect accent to the green, girly picnic. Her velvet Tocoto Vintage bubble romper from Cloth was a dream on her chubby little body as well as the turban her Aunt Kayla made her!
Pimento cheese tea sandwiches
Fruits and vegetables
Cheese board: Smoked gouda, brie, blueberry goat cheese, extra sharp cheddar, figs, olive spread, garlic and onion spread, marinated olives, capicola, salami, prosciutto and a yummy variety of crackers and cheese straws.
Chicken salad cups
Drinks were a mix of Izzies, sparkling water, juice boxes, sparkling peach lemonade, and some good ol' dr. pepper.
There really wasn't a specific theme to her party. I just wanted it to be feminine, summer greeting fall, and well, just pretty.
